It was first introduced in Jan, 2004 on 07 Nights tourist circuit Ex.Mumbai. This Luxury Maharaja Train is a joint venture between Indian Railways & Maharashtra Tourism & onboard services are managed by staff of internationally renowned Taj Group of Hotels.

This Royal train tries to recreate the Era of Peshwas-medieval time Feudal Lords of Western India & there are additional facilities of Presidential Suite Cabins, Spa & Massage treatments,Conference Lounge Car, Business Centre etc. Experience the finest and the best of train journey's of the world. The Deccan Odyssey is much more than a mere luxury train cruise. It's a 'classical odyssey' of time beyond the realms of the present.

Due to local weather conditions the weekly 7 Nights/8 Days Deccan Odyssey Train Tour only operates from October to April annually.
The Train Tour departs from Mumbai every Wednesday afternoon & you have option to book for ANY Two Nights minimum part journey also.

"The Golden Chariot - Pride of The South" is operated by The Karnataka State Tourism Development Corporation collaboration with Indian Railways. Embark on a luxurious voyage of discovery through the Cradle of Stone Architecture. The Golden Chariot - Pride of The South train named after the famous Stone Chariot in Hampi, a world heritage site, in Southern India will travel through timeless Historical Heritage Sites, Resplendent Palaces, Wildlife and Golden Beaches. It's 7 Nights / 8 Days colorful journey begins every Monday from Bangalore and traverses through Mysore, visiting Srirangapatna, Mysore Palace; the Nagarhole National Park (Kabini) and continuing to the historical sites of Shravanabelagola, Belur-the 11th century cradle of Hoysala architecture and a world heritage site, Halebidu, Hampi and thereafter entering into the triangular heritage site of Badami, Pattadakal, Aihole, and finally the Golden Beaches of Goa before ending in Bangalore.

The new Meter Gauge Heritage on Wheels Train Tour starts every Tuesday & Friday from Jaipur and ends in Jaipur on every Friday/Monday morning respectively.
